MENUThis can be considered the operational heart of the entire park. It also houses the Environmental Education Centre and the hospitality facilities: a Hostel and Restaurant.
The Environmental Education Centre has been created out of the mill’s structure. Originally built in 1600, the mill has been fully renovated and all its mechanisms are in perfect working order. The centre has large halls for teaching, shows and cultural events.
The Educational Centre and Hostel, as part of the project “Essenza di Fiume” or Essence of the River, offer a full calendar of events: theatrical performances, screenings, literary and music meetings, tastings of typical local products and themed evenings to be spent with friends. What is more, many different activities can be booked at the structure, ranging from walks or horse rides, accompanied by experts, to discover the local flora and fauna, bird-watching, Orienteering, conferences of various natures and food and wine events, children’s workshops, landscape photography workshops, river rafting, canoeing courses, Tai Chi and Qi Gong surrounded by nature.
The Molino di Basso Hostel is an excellent base for exploring the wonders of the park and enjoying the local specialties. The structure is developed over two floors: the ground floor houses a restaurant and a bar as well as a shop selling local products, an internet point, a multipurpose room, lounge, library and two bedrooms. Upstairs there is a children’s playroom and the other bedrooms. There are a total of 49 beds.
