Lantieri Tower

The Torre Lantieri was built separately from the castle of the same name and has been very well preserved; it was probably designed by the family in the 15th century as a tower-house. It was more practical than the old castle and has a quadrangular plan, structured over four levels. It was built on a rocky outcrop to facilitate its defensive function. For a long time it was used as a private residence, but today belongs to the council. The building has recently been renovated, completed in 2009 it is now open to the public. On the ground floor there is a Quadrasphere, an installation designed to engage the visitor in an experience of images, sounds and emotions: a darkened room houses a world made up of images, multiplied to infinity thanks to a system of mirrors and lights. The introductory video tells the story of Franciacorta, of Lake Iseo and, of course, Paratico.
