“Mura” Tower

Latitudine: 45.598333

Longitudine: 9.881667

In the area across the river, in Mura, stand the ruins of the Rocchetta di Mura, but most importantly, there is the surviving torre circolare, or round tower, 25 metres high and with a diameter of 10 metres. Initially built between the 8th and 9th centuries to defend the fortified complex of Mura, and certainly restructured over time, it now also has battlements, added in 1913. The inside has also been used as a storage tank for the aqueduct, but in recent years the large tower has been recovered and renovated.
