This fortress dates back to the 15th century. Built in a strategic position, dominating the countryside and what was then the main transport route towards Cremona, this fortress has a large square courtyard and ravelin to the front. There are four towers, of which only one is round. Its moat is still in good condition. It is a venue for several events and exhibitions. The Rocca Sforzesca houses the headquarters of the Aquaria Archaeological Museum. The name of this institution recalls the mythical city of Aquaria which tradition claims existed in this area. The museum exhibits finds from the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages with an extensive collection of coins that confirms that Celts and Romans once settled in the area.
