The Art Nouveau Palazzos of Sommaruga

Sarnico is also home to several Art Nouveau buildings by architect Giuseppe Sommaruga, in Piazza SS. Redentore for example, stands the Nursery School, completed in 1912, which still has its Art Nouveau facade. The same architect is also responsible for: – the facade of the cemetery which also houses the Mausoleum of the Faccanoni family (1907); – Villa Faccanoni, in Via Veneto (1907); – Villa Surre, on the way to Predore (1912); – Villa Passeri, in Piazza XX settembre (1906).
