Extraordinary in its elegance and singularity. Soncino was one of the few European towns to house a printing office as early as the second half of the 1400s. The old, distinctive building, once the home of a Jewish family, now houses all sorts of printing machinery from different eras, from Gutenberg to the nineteenth century, deriving from various donations, and an extensive collection of moveable and graphic type. You can also see objects and materials from Jewish culture as well as a Latin bible printed in 1578. The traditional tour is accompanied by a practical demonstration of printing with a nineteenth century press.
